Tskhaltubo

Tskaltubo is located on the bank of Tskaltubozsky River at 120 m above sea level. It is known as a balneological resort and is especially popular with thermal-radon mineral water baths. Water is soft, camamas and odorless, its temperature is 33-35 °.

Tskaltubo mineral water cures the following diseases: limbs, peripheral nervous system, heart and blood vessels, skin, metabolism, endocrine system, gynecological diseases. In Tskaltubo they are also treated with rheumatism, poliomyelitis and cerebral palsy. Keratical caves, crescent microclimates are used for the treatment of bronchial asthma, angina, hypertension, neurosis and chronic pneumonia.

More than 150 different varieties of perennial deciduous and coniferous trees are cultivated on the territory of Tskhaltubo resort. The artificial “cold lake” was created on the territory of the resort, which was created in the 1930s due to the closure of the small river Tskaltubo bed.
